Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 1/2 large seedless watermelon Choose a firm watermelon for best results.

For the Dip

  • 2/3 cup Greek yogurt (preferably Fage 5%) Can be substituted with dairy-free yogurt for a vegan option.
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced) Other berries like blueberries or raspberries can be used.
  • 1.5 tablespoons honey Use agave syrup for a refined sugar-free alternative.
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lime zest (optional) Omit if you prefer a sweeter dip.

To Serve

  • 1 cool serving platter for presentation A colorful platter makes for a great presentation.

Preparation

  • Slice the watermelon into 1/2-inch thick discs. Cut each disc in half to create semicircles.
  • Slice the semicircles into 3-inch long rectangular batons resembling fries and arrange them on a serving platter.
  • Keep the watermelon slightly chilled for cleaner cuts.

Making the Dip

  • In a blender, add Greek yogurt, hulled and sliced fresh strawberries, and lime zest if using.
  • Blend on medium speed until smooth, about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Adjust sweetness with honey if desired.

Serving

  • Transfer the creamy dip to a serving bowl and place in the center of the platter with the watermelon fries. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can prepare watermelon fries and the yogurt dip a few hours ahead. Store them refrigerated until ready to serve. Leftover watermelon fries can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
