  • 8 oz egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 4 tablespoons butter Divided into two portions.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Sautéed for flavor.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Added for moisture.

Preparation

  • In a large pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  • Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  • Add egg noodles and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally.
  • Once noodles are cooked, stir in the remaining butter until melted.
  • Return cooked chicken to the pan and let it warm through for another 2 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the pan when cooking the chicken to achieve a nice brown color. For extra flavor, add some grated cheese or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Feel free to mix in your favorite veggies, like peas or spinach, with the noodles for added nutrition. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
