  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use leftover rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella) Can substitute with pepper jack for extra heat.
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package burger buns
  • Oil for frying

Optional Toppings

  • sliced jalapeƱos For extra kick.

Preparation of Chicken Patties

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, breadcrumbs, cheese, hot sauce, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Preheat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Take a portion of the chicken mixture and form it into a small patty.

Cooking

  • Place the patty in the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels.
  • Toast the burger buns in the same frying pan for extra flavor.

Assembly

  • Assemble the buns by placing the chicken patty on the bottom half of the bun, adding any optional toppings, and finishing with the top half of the bun.

Notes

Serve hot and crispy. They pair perfectly with a side of fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
