  • 1 head of lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) Use lower-fat cheese options if desired, or try a dairy-free cheese for a vegan twist.
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced You can skip the black olives or substitute with diced avocados for added creaminess.

For the Dressing

  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can replace sour cream for a lighter dressing.
  • 1/2 cup salsa Fresh pico de gallo can offer a fresher taste instead of jarred salsa.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

To Serve

  • 1 bag of Doritos (Nacho Cheese flavor) Crumble just before serving to maintain their crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, layer the shredded lettuce, cooked meat, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and sliced black olives.
  • Crumble the Doritos on top of the salad just before serving to maintain their crunch.
  • Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a drizzle of salsa over the top.
