Ingredients
  

For the Tea Base

  • 1 cup Dandelion Leaves Fresh or dried.
  • 1 tablespoon Dandelion Roots Roasted for more intense flavor if desired.
  • 4 cups Water Filtered water recommended.

To Sweeten (Optional)

  • Honey or Maple Syrup Adjust to taste.

To Add Zest (Optional)

  • Lemon Juice Adjust to taste, or substitute with orange juice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by boiling 4 cups of water in a large pot.
  • Once the water is boiling, add 1 cup of dandelion leaves and 1 tablespoon of dandelion roots to the pot and stir gently.
  • Let it steep for about 10 minutes for a stronger flavor.
  • Carefully strain the mixture into a teapot or heatproof container.
  • Add honey or maple syrup to taste.
  • Finish with a splash of lemon juice if desired.

Notes

Use fresh dandelion leaves for best flavor and adjust steeping time based on taste preference. Store unused tea in a sealed container; it can be enjoyed cold as iced tea the next day.
