  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth Vegetable broth can be used for a vegetarian option.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream Light cream or half-and-half can be used for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Vegan substitutes can be used.

To Serve

  • 8 oz pasta (like rotini or penne) Gluten-free pasta can also work.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot, then pour in the chicken broth. Add the minced garlic and season with salt and pepper.
  • Ensure the chicken is submerged in the broth for even cooking.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • The chicken is done when it shreds easily with a fork.

Finishing Touches

  • Remove the chicken from the crockpot, shred it, and return it to the crockpot with the juices.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  • In a separate pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Mix the cooked pasta into the crockpot. Stir everything together and heat until warmed through.
  • Serve garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Add a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan on top before serving for a gourmet touch. To enhance freshness, use fresh herbs or a hint of lemon juice.
