Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • ΒΌ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon.
  • to taste Chopped green onions (for garnish) Use as a garnish before serving.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by gathering all your ingredients. Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

Making the Glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.

Cooking the Salmon

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes or until the skin is crispy.
  • Flip the salmon fillets over and pour the honey garlic glaze over the fillets. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is opaque and flakes easily.

Serving

  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and place it on a plate. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the top and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let them cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, warm in the microwave or skillet. You can adjust the honey for sweetness and add red pepper flakes for a spicy variant.
