Preparation

  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into crinkle shapes using a crinkle cutter.
  • Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove extra starch.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Drain the fries and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  • In a large bowl, toss the fries with vegetable oil, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you like.
  • Spread the fries out in a single layer on a baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching each other.

Cooking

  • Bake them in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, consider double frying them. Use parchment paper on your baking sheet for easy cleanup. Adjust cooking time based on your oven.
