Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 8 pieces chicken leg drumsticks Can substitute with chicken thighs, adjust cooking time accordingly.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can be replaced with melted coconut oil or avocado oil.

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Can substitute with cayenne pepper or smoked paprika.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Use low-sodium seasoning blend to reduce sodium.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and thyme.
  • Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss them to ensure they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Place the seasoned drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are spaced out.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and has a crispy exterior.
  • Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, broil the chicken for the last 2 minutes of baking. Always pat the chicken dry before seasoning.
