Meatball Mixture

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter For cooking meatballs
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adjust according to your taste
  • 1 teaspoon mustard Adjust according to your taste

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Form the mixture into small meatballs (about 1 inch in diameter).

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add beef broth, heavy cream, soy sauce, and mustard. Stir to combine.
  • Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.

Serving

  • Serve meatballs with sauce, garnished with parsley.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, consider freezing the meatballs and sauce together. If desired, they can be reheated when ready to eat. Tips include browning the meatballs well for deeper flavor and adjusting soy sauce and mustard to taste.
