Ingredients

For the Base

  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef For a lighter option, use ground turkey or lean ground chicken.

For the Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Substitute with half-and-half or a non-dairy alternative for a lighter sauce.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Try using a mix of Parmesan and mozzarella for different flavor.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Serve

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, cooking until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring regularly to combine flavors.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the sauce in the skillet and mix well until the pasta is thoroughly coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Serve the dish hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Keep an eye on the pasta; overcooking can make it mushy. Always check the seasoning before serving; adjust according to taste.
