  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips Can substitute with shrimp or tofu.

For the Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning Adjust amount for desired heat level.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream Can substitute with half-and-half or non-dairy alternative.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Add more if sauce thickens too much.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken strips and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream along with the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until well combined and heated through.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring it’s well coated.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider adding sautéed bell peppers or onions, spinach or kale, and adjusting the Cajun seasoning for heat. Store prepared sauce and pasta separately for better preservation.
