  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice about 2 tablespoons, from 1 lemon
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water for a lighter option
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Preparation

  • Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  • Reduce heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Allow it to melt, then stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add Dijon mustard, red pepper flakes, parsley, and dill, stirring to combine.
  • Pour in lemon juice, chicken broth, and heavy cream, stirring continuously until smooth. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Cooking Chicken

  • Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet, ensuring they're coated with sauce. Cover and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Serving

  • Garnish with additional parsley and serve hot with preferred sides like crusty bread, rice, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

For best flavor, use freshly minced garlic and adjust red pepper flakes to spice preference. Chicken must be cooked to safe temperature. To store, refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
