Ingredients
  

For the Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed and wings split at the joint You can substitute with drumsticks.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with canola oil or melted butter.
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your choice of brand or homemade)

To Serve

  • Extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add chicken wings to the bowl and toss well to coat.
  • Place a baking rack over a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Arrange the wings on the rack in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Bake the wings for 40 minutes, turning them halfway through.
  • Remove from the oven and brush with BBQ sauce.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes until glossy.

Serving

  • Serve the wings hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

For added crunch, consider broiling the wings for a few minutes after baking. Let them rest before serving for juicier meat.
