Spritzer
- 1 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen
- 1 tbsp honey or agave optional, to taste
- 0.5 medium lemon or lime juiced
- 0.5 cup berry juice cranberry, blueberry, or pomegranate; chilled
- 0.5 cup sparkling water or club soda; chilled
- 1 cup ice cubes
Garnish (optional)
- 6 leaves fresh mint
- 2 slices lemon or lime for serving
- 2 tbsp extra berries for garnish
Muddle berries: In a shaker or mixing glass, gently muddle mixed berries with the citrus juice and honey/agave (if using) until they release juices.
Add juice: Pour in the chilled berry juice and stir to combine.
Ice & pour: Fill a tall glass with ice. Strain (or pour, for a pulpier drink) the berry mixture over the ice.
Top & stir: Add chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir gently to keep the fizz.
Garnish & serve: Add mint, citrus slices, and extra berries. Serve immediately.
Tips: Use well-chilled juice and sparkling water to keep the spritzer cold without dilution. Adjust sweetness to taste. For a smoother sip, strain muddled berries before pouring.
Variations: Add a splash of orange juice (Citrus Blast); swap in pineapple juice (Tropical); use chilled green tea in place of berry juice for lower sugar; blend with ice for a Berry Slush.
Serving ideas: Serve in wine glasses for a mocktail vibe; perfect for baby showers, picnics, and summer parties.
