Ingredients
  

For the Stir-Fry

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced Slice against the grain for a more tender bite.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Use fresh broccoli for the best texture and flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use gluten-free soy sauce to make the dish gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce Substitute with gluten-free oyster sauce if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Used for marinating beef.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Divide into two parts for cooking.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • for serving Cooked rice Serve over a bed of warm, fluffy rice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove the beef from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add the remaining oil, garlic, and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
  • Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they're tender-crisp.
  • Return the beef to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and stir the mixture to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions for extra flavor and a pop of color. To store leftovers, let the stir-fry cool, then place it in an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the microwave or on the stovetop until hot.
