Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 1 cup olive oil Can use canola oil for a lighter taste.
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar White vinegar can be used, may alter flavor.

For the Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free option.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Honey or maple syrup can be a natural alternative.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard Yellow mustard can substitute in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Use smoked paprika for a smokier flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  • Place the chicken in a resealable plastic bag or glass container.
  • Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well coated. Seal the bag or cover the container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for best results.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Grilling

  • Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving for optimal juiciness.

Notes

Make the marinade ahead and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Refrigerate marinated chicken for up to 2 days before cooking.
