  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter For cooking the potatoes.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and layer the sliced potatoes. Cook until tender and lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • In a baking dish, layer the cooked potatoes, then pour the egg mixture over them, sprinkling cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, straight from the oven. Pair with toast or a fresh salad. Adding sour cream or hot sauce can enhance flavors. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
