Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 pieces Chicken thighs Skin-on or skinless, as preferred.

For the Marinade

  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup Can substitute with honey or agave syrup.
  • 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar Balsamic vinegar can be used for a different flavor.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Adds great flavor to the marinade.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley, chopped Can be substituted with other herbs.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil

To Serve

  • 1 bunch Fresh parsley for garnish Optional, for presentation.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This is crucial for even cooking.
  • In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and sesame oil until well combined and slightly thick.
  • Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring all pieces are well coated.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, or until fully cooked and the juices run clear. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken thighs rest for a few minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.

Notes

Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes or overnight for more flavor. Consider broiling for a few minutes at the end if you want crispy skin. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
