  • 4 pieces chicken legs Drumsticks are ideal, but thighs can also be used.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with canola or vegetable oil.

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure the chicken gets a good sear.
  • Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Mix well.
  • Add the chicken legs to the bowl and coat them thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.
  • Place the seasoned chicken legs on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken legs rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, allow chicken to rest before cutting, and adjust spices to your preference. Serve with fresh herbs or a dipping sauce.
