Ingredients
  

For the Base

  • 3 pieces ripe avocados Choose ripe avocados for the best flavor.
  • 1 whole lime, juiced Fresh lime juice is recommended for better taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt Adjust to taste.

For the Flavor

  • 0.5 cup diced onions Red onions add a nice sweetness.
  • 1 whole diced tomato Roma tomatoes work well.
  • 0.25 cup chopped cilantro Fresh parsley can substitute cilantro.
  • 1 small jalapeño, finely chopped Optional, leave it out for a milder guacamole.
  • to taste none fresh ground pepper

Preparation

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth or to your desired consistency.
  • Add the lime juice and kosher salt to the mashed avocado and mix well.
  • Stir in the diced onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeño.
  • Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning with more salt, lime juice, or fresh pepper as desired.
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes.

Notes

For the best taste, serve guacamole right away. If storing, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to limit browning. Guacamole is best consumed within 1-2 days for optimal flavor and texture.
