Ingredients
  

For the Pancake

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for cooking

For the Topping

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced Can use a variety of apples for different flavors
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.

Cooking

  • In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon to the skillet, cooking until the apples are tender and caramelized.
  • Pour the batter over the caramelized apples in the skillet.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pancake is puffed and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Serve the pancake warm, straight from the oven. Pairs well with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream. Great for sharing! Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
