Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Filling and Topping

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for sprinkling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for glaze
  • 1 tablespoon milk for glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for glaze

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped apples.

Assembling

  • Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle half the mixture over the batter.
  • Add the remaining batter and sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar on top.
  • Swirl with a knife or skewer to create a marbled effect.

Baking

  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • While cooling, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze.
  • Drizzle glaze over cooled bread.
  • Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Pair with butter, whipped cream, coffee, or tea. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
