Ingredients

For the Base

  • 1 tube Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Dough (16.5 oz)

For the Cream Cheese Mixture

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened Can be substituted with low-fat or Neufchâtel cheese.
  • 2/3 cup Sugar Adjust to taste for a sweeter dessert.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping, thawed Use homemade whipped cream for a fresher taste if preferred.

For the Toppings

  • 12 oz Fresh Raspberries (3 to 4 cups)
  • 1 dry pint Fresh Blueberries (about 2 cups)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  • Open the tube of cookie dough and slice it into 1/4-inch pieces. Place the cookie dough slices on a lightly greased 12-inch pizza pan and press them into an even layer.
  • Bake the cookie crust for 11-12 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together until smooth. Then, fold in half of the whipped topping until fully incorporated. Add the remaining whipped topping and fold gently until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Scoop a little less than half of the cream cheese mixture onto the cooled cookie crust and spread it to the edges.

Decorating

  • Use blueberries to outline the pizza and create the blue portion of the flag. Place the star cookie in the upper left corner if you baked one. Then, arrange the raspberries in rows to create seven red stripes. Using the remaining cream cheese mixture, pipe the white stripes across the red, filling in any gaps.

Chilling and Serving

  • Keep the finished pizza in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.

Notes

For a decorative touch, consider adding mint leaves as a garnish or sprinkling powdered sugar over the fruit before serving. This dessert is best served cold.
