Ingredients
  

For the coating

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper Adjust to taste

For the pickles

  • 3 cups Dill pickles (sliced into spears or chips) Use thicker slices for more crunch
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs

For cooking

  • as needed Cooking spray To coat the pickles before frying

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the dill pickles into spears or chips.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the egg and buttermilk.

Coating

  • Dip the pickles into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  • Put the coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Spray them lightly with cooking spray.

Cooking

  • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness. For variation, try different types of pickles or add cheese for cheesy fried pickles.
