For the Coating

  • 1 cup white candy melts or white chocolate melting wafers Can substitute with dark or milk chocolate.

For the Toppings

  • 1/2 cup red, white, and blue nonpareil sprinkles Alternatives include colored sugar or crushed nuts.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel to ensure no moisture remains.

Melting Chocolate

  • In a small deep bowl, microwave the candy melts for about 30 seconds. Stir and repeat until fully melted and smooth.

Dipping Strawberries

  • Carefully dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the berry and allowing excess chocolate to drip off.

Sprinkling Toppings

  • Immediately after dipping in chocolate, roll or sprinkle the strawberries with nonpareils, ensuring one-third of the dipped area is covered.

Setting Strawberries

  • Place the decorated strawberries on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper. Refrigerate if using white chocolate or let sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Serving

  • Enjoy your strawberries immediately for the best taste and texture or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

These strawberries are best enjoyed fresh. Store dipped strawberries in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Freezing is not recommended.
